Utilizing the natural beauty of the Bay of Fires, where the East Coast Drive straddles the exposed nature of the coastline and farmland. Exploring how a roadside public toilet can double as a lookout and information point, helping to provide the nearby township of St Helens with vital public amenity whilst enabling a gateway for travelling tourists to stop and visit the town. A design formed by the wind-swept and rugged nature of the lookout site, where agricultural tin structures, haybales and cattle meet the crashing waves of the Tasman Sea.
